Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, visited Army Hospital, Colombo on 20 May 2026.
Upon his arrival, the Commander of the Army was warmly welcomed by Brigadier D.K.S.S. Dodangoda RSP USP, Director, Army Hospital, Colombo along with Senior Officers.
The Commander of the Army visited the Children’s Ward and officially declared open a newly established play area for children in the ward premises, aimed at enhancing the comfort and wellbeing of young patients receiving treatment at the hospital.
Major General K.V.N.P. Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General H.H.K.S.S. Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Adjutant General of the Army, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
