Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the Prefects’ Day at Defence Services College, Colombo, as the Chief Guest on 29 May 2025.
The Commander of the Army attended the event at the invitation of the Principal and was warmly received by the Director of Defence Services College, the Principal, staff members, and students upon his arrival.
A special video presentation on the Commander of the Army was screened during the event, followed by an inspiring address by the Army Chief. In his speech, he motivated the students to pursue their aspirations with determination and spoke on the importance of leadership and the qualities of a good leader.
He then presented certificates to students who had successfully completed a leadership workshop conducted by the school’s Prefect Board. The event concluded with a formal exchange of mementoes between the Commander of the Army and the Principal.
