The annual commemoration ceremony to honour the fallen war heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of Mullaitivu Camp against the LTTE attack in July 1996 was held on 17 July 2025 at the Mullaitivu War Memorial.
Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event, held with full military honours, included the laying of floral tributes in memory of the fallen heroes.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present to pay their respects.
