The 54 Infantry Division bade farewell to its outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General A.M.C.P Wijayaratne RWP RSP nps psc, on 27 June 2025 at the 54 Infantry Division premises amidst military traditions.
Upon arrival, he was accorded with a Guard Turnout and paid tribute at the monument erected in memory of fallen war heroes. Afterwards, he was honoured in a Guard of Honour by the troops of the 8th Battalion of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.
Subsequently, he posed for a group photograph, addressed the troops, and attended the All-Ranks tea. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the event.
