The 51 Infantry Division celebrated its 30th Anniversary on 23 August 2025 at its Headquarters premises, under the guidance of Major General M.P.N.A Muthumala USP psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 51 Infantry Division.
The day’s proceedings commenced with a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by the troops of 17 Battalion of Gemunu Watch, followed by a group photograph and a troop address. An All Ranks Lunch and a colourful Musical Night brought the day’s celebrations to a close.
In parallel, a Bodhi Puja Pinkama was held on 22 August 2025 at the Division temple premises, with the participation of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.
