The 33rd Commemoration of Late Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa was held on 08 August 2025 at the Denzil Kobbekaduwa Memorial Statue in Anuradhapura.
Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, Director General General Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC), attended the event as the Chief Guest. Madam Lali Kobbekaduwa, spouse of the late Lieutenant General, together with members of the Kobbekaduwa family, joined the event as special invitees.
The ceremony included religious observances and the laying of floral wreaths at the memorial, honouring the service, leadership, and sacrifice of one of Sri Lanka’s most respected military leaders.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and invitees from the Air Force and Police, were present at the occasion.
