Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, assumed duties as the 15th Colonel of the Regiment of the Gajaba Regiment (GR) on 26 June 2025, at the Gajaba Regimental Centre.
At the arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout and then he paid tribute to the founding Father of the GR by laying a floral wreath at his statue, followed by a Guard of Honour.
Following this, he posed for group photographs, planted a sapling and attend All Ranks tea. Finally he addressed officers at the Officers’ Mess.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
