The troops of 11 Infantry Division arranged a formal ceremony to bid farewell to the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 11 Infantry Division, Major General K.A.U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, on 21 June 2025 at the Division Headquarters.
In accordance with military traditions, a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour were accorded by the troops of the 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Adding memories to the day, the outgoing GOC was invited to pose for a group photograph and ceremonially opened the newly located 120 MM Mortar guns in front of the Divisional Headquarters.
In his address to all Ranks, the GOC expressed appreciation for the commitment and dedication demonstrated by all Ranks during his tenure.
The formalities for the day concluded with an All-Ranks tea.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
