Newly Appointed Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Assumes Duties

Major General K.V.N.P. Premaratne RSP USP nps psc of the Sri Lanka Artillery assumed duties as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, the third most senior appointment in the Army, on 06 April 2026 at the Army Headquarters.

Amidst religious blessings, he signed the official documents marking the acceptance of his appointment. He had previously held key appointments, including serving as the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

Principal Staff Officers, Directors, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the occasion and extended their best wishes to the newly appointed Deputy Chief of Staff.
