The military funeral of the late Brigadier R.P. Munipura (Retd) RWP RSP of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was conducted with full military honours, in accordance with military traditions, at the Sepala Crematorium, Kelaniya, on 04 January 2026.
Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, Major General D.K.S.K. Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, along with Senior Officers, Officers and Retired Officers, were present to pay their final respects to the late Senior Officer.
The solemn ceremony reflected the deep respect and gratitude of the Sri Lanka Army for the distinguished service and dedication rendered by the late Brigadier R.P. Munipura (Retd) RSP RWP during his long and honourable military career.
