The 13th Defence Services Athletics Championship 2025 was held on 29 and 30 September 2025 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama. Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Chief of Staff, graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The Sri Lanka Army claimed the overall championship, securing an impressive 39 Gold Medals out of 45 and establishing nine new meet records, reaffirming their dominance in the field of athletics.
Major General B.G.S. Fernando USP Hdmc psc, Military Secretary, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Military Police, and Chairman of the Army Athletics Committee, together with representatives of the Tri-Forces, participated in the event.
