The Sri Lanka Army secured the overall championship at the 13th Defence Services Motorcycling Championship, held on 11 September 2025 at the Gajaba Super Cross Track, Saliyapura.
Eighteen riders representing 11 regiments participated in the tournament, which comprised five events. The Army’s riders won a total of twelve medals, including five gold, five silver and two bronze.
Gunner T.N Kumara of the Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment was adjudged the Best Rider of the Championship after securing first place in both the MX 125 cc and MX 250 cc race categories.
Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, graced the certificates awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks, participated in the event.
