The 27th Annual Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defence Conference (CHODs) – 2025 was held from 25 to 28 August 2025 in Thailand with the participation of senior military leaders representing several countries. Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, attended the forum as the uniformed Chief of Defence representative from Sri Lanka.
This year’s conference, themed “Peace through Strength,” featured a broad spectrum of speakers who provided perspectives extending beyond defence and military domains, emphasising the importance of inclusive dialogue and diverse approaches in addressing regional security challenges.
On the sidelines of the event, the Commander of the Army held bilateral discussions with several senior military leaders of allied nations enhancing military-to-military cooperation, and strengthening regional partnerships.
