Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, graced the launching ceremony of the Army E-Portal, expanded to include services for retired Army personnel, on 10 April 2026 at Army Headquarters.
Upon arrival, the Army Chief was welcomed by Major General K.M.G. Bandaranayake USP ndc psc, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, together with Brigadier M.R. Hameem USP, Director of Information Technology.
The newly introduced Veterans Module will initially serve personnel retired after October 2022, before being gradually extended to all veterans. The module provides access to financial records, medical history, welfare services and official communications.
Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General K.V.N.P. Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Brigadier R.G.L.K. Weerakoon RWP RSP, Director of Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event.
