The Araly Point Monument in Kayts on 08 August 2025 recalled the undying memories of one of the country’s finest legendary military leaders, Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa RWP RSP VSV USP rcds psc, and several other military war heroes who made the supreme sacrifice in an LTTE landmine blast at Araly Point on 08 August 1992.

General Officer Commanding 53 Infantry Division (RSF), Major General K.H.M.S Wickramaratne RSP has ended his tenure of duties as the 32nd General Officer Commanding of 53 Infantry Division (RSF) on 06 August 2025.
