Major General W.M.S.N Wijekoon ndc AATO of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps assumed duties as the new Quarter Master General of the Quarter Master General’s Branch on 30 June 2025 during a simple ceremony held at Army Headquarters.

Major General T.A Peiris (Retd) ptsc, Passes away on 27 June 2025 after a brief illness at the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital. He was 55 years old at the time of his demise.

Responding swiftly to an emergency situation, troops of the 2 (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (2(V) SLSR) successfully located and began the rescue of stranded individuals in the Hanthana mountain range during the early hours of 29 June 2025.
