A cleaning programme at the Home of Elders in Dambulla was conducted on 28 September 2024, under the guidance of Mrs Nilanthi Wanasinghe, Chairperson of the Mechanized Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (MIR - SVB). The event, coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, also included an entertainment programme and refreshments for 57 adults at elders’ home.

Mrs. Nilanthi Wanasinghe, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (MIR – SVB), officially assumed her duties during a brief ceremony held at the Regimental Headquarters on 26 September 2024.

Coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the 241 Infantry Brigade, under the guidance of Brigadier L.S.D.N. Pathirathna RSP USP, Commander of 241 Infantry Brigade, organized a beach cleaning program on 28 September 2024 at Palamunai Beach Park, Akkaraipattu.

A blood donation campaign was organised by the Army Base Hospital, Palaly, in collaboration with the Blood Bank of the Teaching Hospital, Jaffna on 26 September 2024. The event took place under the direction of Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna), in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

10 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) distributed dry ration packs to seven selected unemployed families in the J/432 Vetthalakeni GN Division on 25 September 2024.

The visit focused on assessing the wellbeing of children aged one to sixteen undergoing cancer treatment, along with their families.
