Colonel (GS) Mr Christof Gertsch, Defence Attaché, Embassy of Switzerland in Colombo paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva on Saturday (28) at the Army Headquarters at Sri Jayawardenepura.

During their cordial exchange of views, both of them recalled prevailing gestures of goodwill and touched on matters of mutual interest.

Towards the end of the friendly meeting, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva presented a memento to the envoy as a token of goodwill and understanding. The visiting Swiss envoy reciprocated the move before they posed for photos. |
