In order to evaluate the ongoing progress of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) - funded 9 houses, being built by 65 Division troops for low-income families in Thunukkai area, Major General Kumara Peiris, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 65 Division went to see them and meet potential beneficiaries.

The GOC spoke to the beneficiaries and listened to them with a view to further making any improvements to the new houses if necessary before they are brought to completion.

Those beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction over the manner the soldiers are carrying out construction work at the request of the NHDA.
