Identical to the projects elsewhere in relation to the World Environment Week, Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna also launched a series of Environmental Conservation programmes across all Divisions, Brigades and Units in the peninsula, commencing from 30 May 2018.

On the directions of Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces – Jaffna, troops in those formations are currently carrying out cleaning drives, planting of saplings, conservation of costal seas, etc with the intention of protection of the environment.

In several places, saplings were distributed among selected civilians.
