Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the newly appointed Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), conducted courtesy visits on 23 December 2024 to Mr. L Illaangovan, Chief Secretary of the Northern Province, Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayahan, Honourable Governor of the Northern Province, Mr. M Piratheepan, District Secretary of Jaffna and Rev. Justin Bernard Gnanapragasam, the Bishop of Jaffna.

During the visits, the dignitaries expressed their appreciation for the Army’s role in constructing homes for low-income families, preventing illegal activities, and maintaining peace in the region. They also requested continued military support for future initiatives.

As a gesture of goodwill, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) presented tokens of appreciation to the dignitaries.
