The Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (HR & IHL) Advanced Course - No 28(Officers) concluded on 30 October 2024 with a brief ceremony at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) in Kukuleganga.

The course, organized by the Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (DHRIHL), commenced on 07 October 2024 with the participation of 18 Army Officers, 1 Navy Officer, and 1 Air Force Officer.

The top achievers of the course were Major B.G.G.S. R Batawala psc of the Sri Lanka Artillery, who secured 1st place, followed by Major D.M.U.D. Dissanayake of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps in 2nd place, and Wing Commander W.A.A.I. Withana of the Sri Lanka Air Force in 3rd place.
