Colonel Commandant Visits SLAWC Battalions Prior to Retirement

Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC), made an official visit to the 7 SLAWC, 2 (V) SLAWC and 3 (V) SLAWC on 13 and 14 October 2024, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army.
Upon his arrival, the Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the respective Commanding Officers of each Battalion and was accorded a Guard Turnout by the troops of the Battalions. Later, he posed for a group photograph and planted a sapling at the camp premises.
Following this, the Commanding Officers gave a comprehensive briefing on the current operational and administrative commitments of the units. Later, the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops and signed the visitor's book to commemorate the visit.
