Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR), visited the Mechanized Infantry Brigade and 1 MIR on 14 October 2024.

Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Senior Officers and then accorded a Guard Turnout by troops of MIR.

During his visit, Colonel of the Regiment planted a sapling, posed for group photographs with Officers and Other Ranks, attended detailed briefings, inspected the camp premises, and joined the all ranks tea and lunch. His visit concluded with the troop address.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were present throughout the visit.
