The Commander of Security Forces (Central) Relinquished the Office

Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, assumed office as the 21st Commander of Security Forces (Central) on 07 October 2024.

Upon his arrival at the premises, the Commander of Security Forces (Central) was accorded with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour by troops of the 23 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. Thereafter, he planted a sapling to mark the significance of the occasion and appeared in a group photograph.

Later, Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, auspiciously took over duties amidst religious observance and placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of his new office.

After the formalities, the newly appointed Security Forces Central Commander addressed the troops, and attended an All Rank Tea at the Non-Commissioned Officers's Club.

Afterward, a comprehensive briefing held at the conference hall with the participation of the Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin, and Quartering, all Staff Officers who were performing duties at the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) and under command units.

Finally, the SF - Central Commander gave his remarks and invited all Officers to be active members of his team, paying his sincere gratitude to all past and existing Officers and Other Ranks.
