Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army this evening (5) went to the Bellanwila Raja Maha Vihara premises and paid his respect to the remains of late Professor Ven Bellanwila Wimalaratana Nayake Thero, Chancellor, University of Sri Jayawardanepura.

Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake expressed his deep sorrow and condolences to Ven Dr Bellanwila Dhammaratana Nayake Thero, Incumbent, Bellanwila Raja Maha Vihara and shared a couple of views with him. He also penned a few thoughts in the book of condolences.

Ven Boralesgamuwe Premarathana Thero, Ven Urupelewwe Hemarama Thero, Mr Sisira Wijesinghe of the Dayake Sabha at Bellanwila Raja Maha Viharaya and a few members of the Dayaka Sabhawa were present at the occasion.
