Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Commander of Security Forces (Central), visited the 12 Infantry Division on 24 September 2024.

Upon arrival, he was honoured in a drive pass by the troops of the 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and then warmly welcomed by General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 12 Infantry Division.

During the visit, the GOC provided a detailed briefing on the current security situation, the Division’s roles and tasks, as well as its ongoing duties. The Senior Officer later posed for a group photograph and planted a sandalwood sapling in the camp premises, followed by troops address. The visit concluded with the signing of the visitors’ book to commemorate the occasion.
