Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces - West (SF-West), graced the closing ceremony of the 31st "Watjaree 2024" as the Chief Guest on 17 September 2024 at Batuwatta Maha Vidyalaya, Ragama representing the Commander of the Army.

Upon his arrival, Commander SF - West was warmly welcomed by officials of the Sri Lanka Scouting Association.

During the ceremony, the Commander SF - West addressed the gathered scouts, emphasising the historical significance and primary objectives of the scouting camp. His words encouraged the young scouts to uphold the values of scouting and leadership.

Following his address, Commander SF - West presented awards to the outstanding scouts of "Watjaree 2024". Dharmaloka Vidyalaya - Kelaniya was awarded the championship, while De Mazenod College - Kandana earned the runners-up title.

The event concluded with the Commander SF-West posing for group photographs, marking the successful culmination of "Watjaree 2024".
