The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) bade farewell to Major General P.A.M. Peiris RSP USP psc, the former General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division on 14 September 2024.

Upon his arrival, the retiring Major General was honoured in a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour. Following these formalities, the Senior Officer addressed all ranks and then attended an All-Ranks tea.

The day’s events concluded with a farewell dinner hosted at the Cavalry Mess. During his speech at the dinner, the retiring Senior Officer extended heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support he received from all Officers and Other Ranks of the SLAC throughout his military career.

As a token of appreciation, he was presented with the prestigious "General's Jug" by Major General M.S. Devapriya USP ndc, the Colonel Commandant of the SLAC.

Mrs. Sanjeewani Peiris, senior officers, officers, their spouses, and other ranks participated in the event.
