Major General A.M.K.G.P.S.K Abeysinghe, the Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC), visited the SLAGSC Trade School, 1 SLAGSC and 2 (V) SLAGSC on 03 September 2024.

The visit commenced with a Guard Turnout to welcome the Colonel Commandant, followed by a sapling planting ceremony in the camp premises. In his address, Colonel Commandant highlighted the importance of effective instruction, the quality of instructors, and the need for ongoing training and development, including in agricultural activities.

The Commandant of the Trade School provided a comprehensive briefing on the institution’s roles, responsibilities, training programmes, and administrative matters followed by briefings from the Commanding Officers of 1 SLAGSC and 2(V)SLAGSC.

The Colonel Commandant then conducted an inspection of the camp compound and key areas of the school. The visit concluded with a group photograph and an all-rank tea.
