Under the guidance of Major General B.K.G.M.L Rodrigo RSP psc IG, the Colonel Commandant and Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, the School of Artillery launched a sapling planting campaign on 24 August 2024 at the Artillery Complex, Minneriya.

This event was held in collaboration with the Credit Supervision and Recovery Division of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army and the 104th Anniversary of the Commercial Bank.

As part of this initiative, 50 mango saplings and 54 coconut saplings were planted in the Artillery Complex. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and a team of staff representatives from Commercial Bank participated in the event.
