The Synergia Foundation, in partnership with Nalanda University, successfully hosted the inaugural Bodh Gaya-Nalanda Initiative on Shared Values, Shared Culture, and Futures from 12 – 14 September 2024 at Bodh Gaya and Nalanda University.

Sri Lankan representative Colonel M.B.B.N Herath RSP, Director of Media and Spokesman of the Ministry of Defence and Overlooking Director General of the Institute of National Security Studies, delivered a speech on BIMSTEC’s challenges, emphasizing the need for new strategies to address emerging challenges. He highlighted the potential of shared cultural values to shape future generations and overcome pressing issues.

The event fostered meaningful dialogue on global challenges such as climate change and inequality, drawing on Buddhism’s philosophical traditions and Nalanda's heritage. Experts from various fields shared insights on the cultural legacies that bind civilizations, offering pathways to leverage ancient wisdom for modern challenges.
