The Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) bid farewell to Major General S.A.N.J Ariyasena, Director General of the Directorate of Electrical & Mechanical Engineers on 08 September 2024. The occasion was graced by Major General S.P.A.I.M.B Samarakoon hdmc Lsc, the Deputy Chief of Staff and Colonel Commandant of the SLEME Regiment.

Following the deep-rooted military tradition, the Senior Officer was warmly welcomed upon his arrival by Colonel D.A Sirimannage, Centre Commandant according a Guard Turnout. He was then invited to receive the salute in a Guard of Honour.

After meeting with the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, the Senior Officer joined a tea party held at the Officers' Mess.

In the evening, a banquet was held at the Officers' Mess to honor the senior officer. During the event, the Centre Commandant expressed his appreciation for his dedicated service to the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and the Sri Lanka Army.

The evening concluded with the presentation of a commemorative memento to the outgoing Major General by the Colonel Commandant.

Senior Officers, Officers, and their spouses attended the Farewell Mess Night to bid him a fond farewell.
