Special Forces Bids Farewell to Out Going Major General R. M. M. Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP

Sri Lanka Army Special Forces bid farewell to an outstanding military figure of the Special Forces, Major General R. M. M. Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division and Colonel Commandant of the Military Intelligence Corps on 05 September 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Special Forces.
In line with military traditions, the Major General R. M. M. Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP accorded with a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour by the troops of Sri Lanka Army Special Forces.
Subsequently, Senior Officer addressed Officers and Other Ranks expressing his deep appreciation for their unwavering dedication and service for the organization and country.
The formal proceedings continued with an All Ranks tea, fostering camaraderie among attendees.
Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc the Commander of Security Forces (Wanni) and Colonel of the Regiment of Special Forces , as the Chief Guest graced the traditional farewell dinner held at the 1 Special Forces Officer’s Mess. During the dinner, Major General R. M. M. Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, conveyed his profound gratitude to all members of the Special Forces for their steadfast support throughout his illustrious career.
Mrs. Prashadani Ranasinghe, Chairperson of the Military Intelligence Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (and the Members of Sri Lanka Army Special Forces Seva Vanitha Branch), Senior Officers, and Officers participated in the event.
