The Prefects' Investiture Ceremony 2024 was held at Sri Sumangala Girls' School on 13 August 2024. Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General of Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest representing the Commander of the Army.

During the ceremony, a total of 124 students were honoured with their symbolic laurels, signifying their new responsibilities as prefects. The Chief Guest ceremoniously pinned the laurels onto the top board of prefects, symbolizing their leadership roles in the school.

The event concluded with the Chief Guest addressing the gathering.
