Major General W.G.P Sisira Kumara RSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), 4 (V) Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), and 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) on 8 August 2024.

The Deputy Commandant of SLAVF was warmly received by the Commanding Officer of each respective Battalion, followed by a Guard Turnout by the troops of the Battalions. He then planted a sapling, inspected the Battalions, and had a cordial discussion with the Officers. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks attended the event.
