Major General S.W.B Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc, the Director General of Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch, visited the Battalion Training School at Security Force Headquarters - East on 29 July 2024.

He was warmly welcomed by the Commandant and all Officers of the Battalion Training School. During his visit, Director General Infantry planted a sapling in the camp premises to commemorate the occasion. The Commandant then provided a briefing on the activities and achievements of the Battalion Training School.

Addressing the troops, Director General Infantry highlighted the importance of maintaining high spirits in training and discipline among all ranks. He also stressed the need to raise awareness about illegal activities.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were present during the event.
