Major General I.A.N.B Perera RWP USP ndu psc, the Military Secretary and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES), visited the Engineer Services Trade School (ESTS), 9 (V) Engineer Services Regiment (ESR), and 2 ESR on 27 and 28 July 2024.

He was accorded a Guard Turnout and welcomed by Senior Officers at each location. The Commandant of the trade school and the Commanding Officers of the Battalions conducted briefings on the functions of the school and Battalions. Colonel Commandant of CES posed for group photographs and planted a sapling in the camp premises.

He inspected the school's and Battalions' premises and facilities. Afterwards, he addressed the troops, emphasising professionalism and discipline, and engaged with them during an all-ranks tea. By concluding visits, he penned down complimentary remarks in the visitors' book.
