Major General I.A.N.B Perera RWP USP ndu psc, the Military Secretary and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services, visited the 15 (V) Engineer Services Regiment (ESR) on 27 July 2024.

Upon arrival, Lieutenant Colonel S.B.T.P De Silva, the Commanding Officer of 15 (V) ESR, warmly welcomed the visiting Senior Officer. He was then accorded a Guard Turnout in accordance with military traditions. Afterwards, the unit’s staff briefed him on the unit's achievements, challenges, and future plans. The Colonel Commandant later posed for a group photograph with the Officers and planted a sapling at the camp premises.

During his address, the Colonel Commandant emphasised professionalism and high standards of discipline. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer presented a memento to the Colonel Commandant as a gesture of appreciation.

The visit concluded with a tea arrangement for all Ranks, where the visiting Senior Officer interacted with the troops, followed by an inspection of the camp premises. Before departing, he recorded his compliments in the visitors' book.
