Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 21 Infantry Division visited 213 Infantry Brigade, 2 Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR), 2 (Volunteer) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), and 5 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) on 23 July 2024.

The GOC was warmly received by the Commander of the 213 Infantry Brigade. Afterwards, the visiting GOC was accorded a Guard Turnout followed by the planting of a sapling in the camp premises. Visiting Senior Officer then attended briefings, posed for a group photograph, and addressed the troops at the Brigade lecture hall, offering valuable insights and instructions.

The GOC concluded his visit by touring the Regional Ordnance Depot (Gajasinghapura), 2 MIR, 2 (V) VIR, and 5 SLNG.
