The Blood Bank of National Blood Transfusion Service of General Hospital Vavuniya invited General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 56 Infantry Division, Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, for an event organized to appreciate the blood donors and organizers on 24 July 2024 in line with World Blood Donor Day at Vavuniya.

The troops of 56 Infantry Division actively participated in several blood donation campaigns in the Vavuniya area, contributing numerous pints of blood to the Blood Transfusion Unit

GOC of 56 Infantry Division, Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, Colonel General Staff - Colonel R.S.C Dissanayake RSP, Civil Affairs Officer - Lieutenant Colonel K. Jayaweera of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps participated in the event.
