Army Personnel Graduate in the Cookery & Culinary Art for the First Time in Army History

A group of 30 Army personnel including 2 Officers belonging to the Catering Battalion under the Directorate of Supply and Transport creating history received graduation for the first time in Cookery and Culinary Art during a brief convocation ceremony at Aquinas University in Colombo 8.
This was the first in the contemporary history the Army produced so many professional chefs and cooks to receive diplomas in Cookery and Culinary Art.
Participation in the 10 months long Cookery course at this prestigious Aquinas University was facilitated by the Directorate of Training at the Army Headquarters.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Colonel Irosh Wanigasekera, Commanding Officer, Catering Battalion of the Directorate of Supply and Transport and several Battalion Officers.
