Another Army-built MOH Office at Vavuniya Vested in Public

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), in another civil military coordination project, contributing their technical expertise for construction of the office complex of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) in Vavuniya vested it with the public in a simple ceremony on Sunday (24) in Vavuniya.

During the ceremony, Hon. Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine as the Chief Guest opened the new MOH complex in the company of distinguished invitees. Coordination of the project was done by the Ministry of Health.

The project was sponsored by the 'Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria' (GFATM), based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The construction project was completed by troops of the SFHQ-W with the support of Officers and Soldiers of the 2 Corps of Engineer Services (CES) under the supervision of Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W).

The opening ceremony of the MOH complex was attended by the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, officials of the GFATM, Major General W.R.P De Silva, General Officer Commanding, 21 Division, a group of Health Department officials, state officials and civilians.
