The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Athletic Meet - 2023, started on 19 September 2023 at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama with 342 sportsmen and 79 sportswomen in different volunteer battalions of the Army.

The event was organized with the blessings of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army.

The sporting drive that pursues a phenomenal stream of access for future athletic feats of its successors was scheduled as a necessary fulfillment under the directions of Major General D.M.K.D.B Pussella RWP RSP, the Commandant, SLAVF.

Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, the SLAVF Deputy Commandant attended the inaugural ceremony of the Athletic Meet as the Chief Guest.
