Alert to blood requirements of patients and also on account of the forthcoming Vesak festival, Army troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ- MLT) in collaboration with Mullaittivu District Hospital authorities staged a blood donation campaign at the SFHQ - MLT camp premises on 1 May.

A few more than 120 troops voluntarily came forward to donate blood during the programme, considering the merit-invoking nature of the project. Mullaittivu Hospital provided the medical staff at the request of the troops.

Major General U.D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commander, Security Forces -Mullaittivu gave necessary directions to organize the event.
