5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 111 Infantry Brigade of the 11 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - Central (SFHQ-Cen) at the request of the incumbent at Veluwana Aranya Senasanaya, Ampitiya assisted the planting of 100 bamboo saplings in the temple compound on Monday (27).

A group of 25 Army personnel belonging to the 5 (V) SLLI in consultation with resident monks planted those saplings and completed the project within hours.

Meanwhile, 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops of the 11 Infantry Division on Friday (24) launched a project to carry raw materials, needed for the renovation of Katugastota Dharmapala Viharaya in Kandy.
