8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 141 Infantry Brigade of the Security Force HQ-West rushed to Gonawala town in Kelaniya area and assisted to douse a fire that erupted in a plastic-ware shop on Saturday (15).

Following information and the SOS appeal of neighbouring residents in the affected area, a contingent of 20 Army personnel of 8 SLLI along with the Colombo Fire Brigade hurried to the scene and supported to bring the fire under control with the support of volunteers in the area.
