The 21 Infantry Division HQ of the Security Force HQ - Wanni celebrated its 35th anniversary in a series of religious and ceremonial activities beginning on 25 March 2023. It included a Guard Turn out and a Guard of Honour, accorded to the General Officer Commanding on the anniversary day (4 April).

As a forerunner to the anniversary day, friendly Volleyball and Cricket tournaments were held at the 21 Division HQ playground with the participants of under command troops. Planting of a sapling by the GOC, an All Rank lunch and an entertainment session in the same evening took place on the anniversary day.

Next, on the instructions of Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division, over 300 troops from under command Brigades, Battalions, under command Battalions of the Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) and with contribution of officials at Anuradhapura Police Station cleaned up the 3700 m-long Kumbichchankulama Jogging Track on 02 April 2023 as a community project as it remained filled with pollutants.

On the same day (2) a delicious breakfast was served to 31 orphans at 'Sathuta Orphanage' at Saliyapura, Anuradhapura. An All Rank lunch brought the anniversary segments to an end.
