Following a request from a family in Kithulhitiyawa, a lavatory facility for a differently abled family member was constructed as per the directives of the Commander of the Army.

The task was carried out by the Directorate of Veteran Affairs and the 53 Infantry Division.

The facility was vested in the beneficiary on 18 July 2024. During the programme, educational supplies were also donated to two children in Grades 5 and 11, funded by Mrs. Minoli Mirenda in France.

The event was attended by Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the 533 Infantry Brigade.
