The troops of the 12 Infantry Division, under the direction of Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, conducted the Dansala programme for devotees attending the Esala Perahera festival at the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Temple.

Moreover, the troops provided security and medical facilities for nearly 20,000 devotees. Additionally, they prepared and served three meals daily to all attendees throughout the festival.
